Is in-home care expensive?
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, home care is vastly more cost effective than care in a hospital or nursing home/facility. Studies show that elder care in the home reduces hospital admissions and emergency room visits, which saves money for senior care patients and taxpayers. A 2009 Harris poll revealed four out of five Americans (82%) would prefer to receive senior care services at home. We assist in finding out if your loved one(s) medical, long-term elder care or disability insurance company offers reimbursement for non-medical in-home care by a home care company.Ways to pay for in-home care
